There are endless sober livings and halfway houses that give residents the basic needs of sobriety. What sets Sustain Recovery apart is that our home is fully licensed with the California Department of Social Services to provide quality care to adolescents suffering from substance use disorder and other co-occurring disorders. This allows us to provide highly individualized care that assists the specific needs of each resident. With one staff for every three residents, as well as a maximum of six residents per house, we have found a cost-effective model that is unparalleled in the industry today.
We provide a safe and structured affordable Peer Supportive Recovery Residence in which our adolescents are able to maintain a meaningful and fun way of life without drugs or alcohol. Our day treatment program, in which all residents attend, provides medical and psychiatric services, individual resident guidance, life skills training, individual therapy, counseling, group therapy, family therapy, school, and additional educational and vocational training which are all ongoing elements of the Extended Care process. Involvement in a Twelve Step program is mandatory and Sustain Recovery is a Twelve Step, abstinence-based home.

With the support and safety net of the Sustain Recovery staff and community, our residents have a structured schedule, which applies the same degree of structure as treatment, in a way that integrates the necessary, healthy living skills needed in the real world.

I first met Sayeh in November of 2013 just after my 15 year old daughter had been admitted to a residential treatment program. As part of the program I was required to attend 2-3 AlAnon meetings a week. Sayeh attended the same AlAnon meetings as well as Alumni events as I. It soon became apparent to me that Sayeh had a heart for recovery, program, and God. When I was encouraged to get a sponsor I didn’t hesitate. Dependable, respectful, kind and generous of spirit, she exudes an inner peace that I hope to achieve with her loving guidance, as I work my own program. She is patient, & full of wisdom that she is always happy to share with her sponsees and fellow parents. I am so grateful our journeys brought us together.
